ok, so I have been having a horrible time with my tank...Lost many corals and only have a few left. I think I figured it out to be a bad heater AND two bad thermometers! I feel like I never learn as this has happened before (hence the reason I had two thermometers)

1. what kind of heater for a 75 gallon with 20 gallon sump.

2. what kind of thermometers do you use (I had the coral life digital ones and they obviously don't work for too long)

3. I had been growing lots of tough furry red algae. You can't even pull it off. It has slowly overtaken every rock. Now that the coral is gone, I want to get rid of this algae. Can I take the rocks out and bleach them or something to kill everything and then how do I get them ready to go back in? Obviously I can't do them all at once. Should I just slowly switch them out with new live rock?

frustrated, but fish are doing well!:sad2:
