I have been running two 400w Reeflux 12k bulbs on my 220g 32" deep SPS tank for the last two years. While they bring a lot of color out of the corals and are really bright (which I like) I was just wondering if another bulb would look better. I borrowed a 7 month old pair of Radiums from a local reefer and have run them for the last few days. There is something I really like about them but they just lack the punch of the Reeflux 12K bulbs. Anyone have any recommendations on other bulbs that might be a balance between these two? I need to replace mine as my current set of Reeflux bulbs are about 1 year old. Thanks!

if you like the reeflux then why not try the reeflux 20k. It is almost the same colour as the 12k and has higher par than the 12k.

There is no way A reeflux 20k has more par than the 12K, but anyway you cant beat the colour with radiums.

sounds like you are in the market for a 14k bulb. = )

You need to check out the Reeflux 20 Ks, they do have more par than the 12s.

Radiums are the best I have seen.

the 20K reeflux does have more par, but you do not the color pop or blue tint you get with radiums and a 12k reeflux. You can try XM 400 watt 20k or Ushio 20K 400 watt.

to me the best 400 watt bulbs are the radium and 12K reeflux.

I want to try the aquaconnect14k bulb, but 145 for a bulb times three is hard to swallow
