So I'm working on my aquascape for my 215 build and in the past I used Aquamend to bond rocks together. So naturally I grabbed some JB Water Weld assuming it was the same since they now own Aquamend right?? But its not holding near as well, so I decided I want to try something else just don't know if its reef safe when. I know its very thin in consistency but I have a plan to deal with that just wanted to know if it is safe to use. Has anyone tried this and is ir reef safe? I know people coat rock walls with clear epoxy I hope this is just as safe.

I'm not sure if this (http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/epxy_mrn_s/technical-data/Loctite-Epoxy-Marine.htm) is the product in question but I am wondering if this is ok as well? I could have sworn that I read it was ok and was playing around with it last night and joined two rocks together with it to see how well it would hold.

..... and FWIW I've decided to use some RTV 108 that will not be used for it's original purpose that I will be using to adhere rocks together from now on, unless there is some objection to that.

So further research reveals that the only difference in composition between the marine grade epoxy and the regular "no frills" epoxy is that while the marine type has Quartz (30-60%) and Calcium Carbonate (30-60%) the regular has Silicone Dioxide (3-5%) in it's composition.
