View Full Version : Fluid Multiplier--could this work with water?

Any idea if this could work with water? Seems simple enough, but how would the density or viscosity of water compared to air change things? Would the ring need to be smaller, larger? Would the gap that the fluid comes out of need to be larger or smaller?

Seems like it'd be a simple enough matter to form acrylic or PVC into a shape like this and install a high pressure pump inside, but is it worth it? Thanks in advance for your responses.

It's basically the same concept behind eductors, which are already available in the hobby.

Matt you can get eductor's from Aquatic Ecosystems in several sizes ;) They are great at really boosting total movement.
