Hello, I have a 90g tank, right now I am using egg crate to keep my mystery wrasse from jumping. I have seen so many different places that keep mystery wrasses in open top tanks though, are they just taking a big risk of loosing the fish? I thought all wrasses are jumpers.

I've lost 2 mystery wrasses over the top. I won't try again until I get some type of netting.

Egg crate will NOT keep them in. They will jump. NOT if, but when.

Install a mesh cover top. GO to the hardware store and my the screen making kits and aluminum. When you have that there is some clear 1.4" mesh netting available through other resources. String that in like a screen plop it on the tank and you are good to go.

Agreed that mesh top is the best bet for the jumpers. Keeps my firefish from carpet surfing!
