I'm planning to upgrade from exisitng 65G to 180G + 20G Sump setup.

Currently I've Euro Reef RS100 skimmer and it did server well, for most of the part.

Obviously existing skimmer is not big enough, so looking for a skimmer that is reliable, low maintenance and produce real low noise.

I'm looking for something in the range of below $1000.

All great rrefers out there jump in and share you experience and opinions. As usual if you can throw some pictures of your choice in action it will help great.

So let it begin.

I-Tech 200

Consistant without adjustment, have to empty to cup alot though and absolutely silent...oh yeah, Tunze pump uses less than 20 watts...skims like crazy.

Euroreef rs 250 or the equivalent from reef dynamic, I believe is called INS 250. Great skimmer, easy maintenance, however not perfectly silent, but you know that since you have an rs100. The air intake can be a little noisy but it can be silenced.
