Here's mine. :sad2: I squeezed it from those small tubes and tried to smooth it with my finger. Oh well. It's a sump, after all!

Thats not bad. I wish I had photos of when my brother and I made his sump. He gave the glass guys the dimensions for the baffles and they cut them about 3/8" smaller than we wanted them. We just filled the gap with silicone and then gooped on a huge amount down both sides. Working great though.

UIU, I'm glad you don't think it looks too terrible. I had a similar situation with maybe slightly too much gap to fill on either side of the panes of glass.

Now I need to figure out how to get silicone down between the baffles, and whether or not that is even really necessary.

Has anyone gotten away with only siliconing one side of a couple baffles? The silicone has set, and the ones on which I could only reach one side feel like they are welded in place - not quite as rock hard, perhaps, as the ones with silcone on both sides, but very firm.

I imagine the primary risk would be a slight leak if the silicone job was poor?

My current sump is a 10 gallon, so there are some tight spaces. A few of the baffles only have silicone on 1 side. Most of them have equal pressure on both sides, so you shouldn't have to worry about them holding. One side should be fine.

Thank you, dcombs44. I, too, suspect they'll hold, and I suppose any small leak in the silicone would be inconsequential.

Right. In your sump, any small amount of seepage won't make any difference as long as the baffles serve the purpose of dissipating bubbles and separating chambers. You should be good to go.

Not that bad. Ive seen alot worse. As long as it works right

Alright, I think the sump is done. I'm planning simple plumbing, so I think there's going to be enough room for draining water! Can't be more than a couple gallons coming back down, right? ;)
