hi reefers :) ,

-I've layed my hands on a 2-channel dosingpump :D , the pumping speed of these pumps are not controlable.

-They each provide 720 ml / day , toghether 1440 ml/day.
this is +/- the average evaporation rate of my small tank.

-The plan is to let the pump work 24/7 , adding with channel 1 calcium + top-off and with channel 2 alkinity + top-off

-I know this will rise my alkinity at night , but i think it wouldn't be that problematic as it would help PH keep stable at night ?

my questions are :

1) is it safe to let the pumps add Ca & alk. during the night ?
---> if not i have to replace the rubber tubes inside the pump to increase
flow/ day and let them pump only at daytime

2) what's the best way to dose Ca and alk. ?

3) is it possible to have a solution Ca in ro/di of 3200 ppm w/o Ca settling at the bottom of container ?

1. That should be fine.

2. I'm not sure what you mean, but a 2-part will work well in many systems.

3. Calcium chloride will dissolve to a lot higher concentration than 3200 ppm without problems. :)

thx bertoni for the reply:) ,

I have calcium chloride that i would dose with channel 1 of the pump.
Nice to here that i can disolve it even higher then 3200 ppm
The other channel i would use to dose my alkinity , using salifer KH + dissolved in ro/di , in the future (when the corals need even more alk ) i gonna start using baking soda as an alk. additif.

Okay, sounds like a good plan.
