What are the differences between the Apex and Apex lite controllers?

Does Aquanotes work with the Apex?

A couple of years back Neptune had a few issues with the temp probes failing. Has this been ironed out?

Apex has 4 variable speed ports for use with controllable Tunze pumps, or dimming of lighting which supports 0-10VDC dimming control. Apex Lite does not have these ports.

Apex has temp & pH probe ports and a third port which is selectable for use with either an ORP probe or a second pH probe. Apex Lite has only temp and pH probe ports. Of course, you can always add more temp, pH, ORP, conductivity, and DO ports using expansion modules with either Apex model.

Other than these two differences, the Apex and Apex lite are the same.

AquaNotes for Windows does NOT work with Apex. AquaNotes for iPhone does. There is also a 'Droid app available, and a BB app being developed.

I haven't heard of any common issues with temp probes in a couple of years.
