Hello,

I need a help,
I have a Mean Well LPC-60-1050 constant current driver but I don´t have XP-G series LEDs.
This driver is to be used with the CREE XP-G series LEDs only.
I blowed 2 of my chinese 3w LEDs, EBAY´s itens.

I want to known if have any way to use commons LEDs in this driver.

thanks

You need to have atleast 3 LEDs in series that can handle 1050mA from the specs I read. I'm guessing that your Chinese LEDs weren't made to handle 1000+mA.

If you wire 6-24 or them in 2 even parallel series, they'll run at 525mA a piece...if the LEDs can handle that.

9-36 LEDs in 3 even parallel series will run them at 350mA, which should be well within specs.

my LEDs are Forward Current : 750mA
Nice idea, put then in parallel, they will not blow.

but I was thinking in another driver,

The first one would work if you had a DC power supply to power them up, the second one would work also, coming from straight AC power. But you would need one for every single LED...might as well just get a BuckPuck and a DC power supply at that point.
