I bought this skimmer used (MR2).....and don't really know how to install it...
I have a 300g tank with no sump...no room in the stand for a sump and absolutely no way to put one in...so that's why I bought an external. Never used one before, and always had an in sump model which is sooo very easy.
I have an Iwaki 40 which should be plenty of power I think....the tank itself runs with 2 closed loops so one of those we are using as the intake and exit for the skimmer. We just aren't sure where to position the skimmer...do we put it at the same height as the tank so as not to drain the tank in a power outage or? Not sure where it sits in relation to the tank. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
