thanks for the kind words:)

the tank has been functional since february 2010 but a small part of the cast and equipment comes from the old tank

I started from Rowa phos - after a month has made 500 ml of bio pellets in the FS 509 filter with the overflow about 1000l / h - the next month put down Rowa

the lighting - 4 x ATI Blue, 2 x ATI aquablue, 2 x kz fiji

Hi,

Curious what salt your using?

kshow
08/02/2010, 02:02 AM
thanks guys!

@Denadai, Steedy
I have no photos of the sump - but it's nothing special - biopellets in FS509, Skimmer, LR, pump back, carbon in the bag - very simple :)

@wickedfish
Aquarium is a recently after a disaster - I got a parasite, and died 17 fish - including list wishes to return to the old appearance, or a slightly modified cast
fish that have died: 12x anthias, acanthurus japonicus, pair of mandarin fish, gramma loretto, clownfish

@maestro
Ca = 400, Kh = 7

@layer3switchguy
I use KZ salt

looks nice,how do you keep your nitrates and phosphates at 0? I run a GFO and a plenum with live plants to take care of nitrates,having a difficult time with po4 for some reason at .1,thinking of running a geo reactor with zeovit which will be my next project for my reef tank. Nice looking tank,good growth,is that the fad of reef keeping in europe,the zeovite,for some reason everyone from the nethrlands to finland uses the zeovite and swear by it. I know I saw an awesome dutch tank which had a geo reactor,GFO and zeovite in one set up and looks beautiful.

kshow
08/04/2010, 12:41 AM
@ptr13
I use only biopellets (500ml) + 50 kg of good quality live rock + good skimmer + not too big feeding

my phosphates ranged from 0.02 to 0.04, nitrates 0

08/29/2010, 04:41 AM
next month has just passed so it's time for new photos - this time without a tripod or other camera came out a bit worse

in total, not much has changed in aquaculture - there was some new corals - fish still waiting - but slowly I begin to complement the newly cast

@steedy
in the sump I have a few pieces of rocks that do not fit into my aquascaping

Really beautiful... when I see such well stocked tanks and look at my tank :( Don't you get any problems by keeping to corals so close together? I try to keep mine quie a bit apart so they don't sting each other

I saw that you used KZ salt in the past.Why did you move to Aquarium Systems Instant Ocean salt and we which one is better in your opinion?

I going to use the same method for my new Tank.

I use IO salt because it is cheaper - I did not notice much difference - but the fact - is quite poor and I think now I'll try AS Reef Crystal

my new favorite fish - flame angel:)

the fish is in serious condition after a fight with binotatus - needs to go to solitary confinement - will be there until he recovers. After that I'll swap their places for a while before letting them both together into the same tank space. Keep your fingers crossed!
