I have a volitan lionfish, eats like a champ, gets a lot great, really curious (comes and gets uncomfortable close to my arm while doing work in the tank) and all around a good fish.

When ever I use my mag float to clean the glass, the moment I grab it and start moving it near him he instantly bends down and sticks all of his spines at it. It will not let the float be near him without being in defensive mode. Has anyone else seen this? Interesting to watch but don't do it too often because I don't want to stress him out.

Kinda SOP for a lion, as well as other scorps. Some do this more than others, and after awhile, they usually get used to how things go in terms of tank work.

I usually just give our volitans a nudge on his caudle fin, and it moves to the other end of the tank for me.

The fish I have trouble with is our c.ockatoo wasp...it follows me around begging for food, and thinks the vaccum wand is a feeding stick. It's a real sweetheart of a fish.
