I'm in the market to get new lighting and I've decided to go with T5's. The tank is 36" long and about 20" tall (50g). I want to be able to grow SPS with no problems. I was thinking of getting a 36" 6x39 Tek fixture. What do you guys think?

I think your golden. Just make sure you buy good quality T5 lamps.

I use 8 T5 HO. in 65G

you can get away with 6 :)

ATI and KZ bulbs have the highest PAR reading.

Allmost, that's what one of the guy at Vivid Aquairiums suggested. I was going to go with the Nova's but he suggested I do Tek with ATI bulbs.
