overflow box

anyone ever built an overflow box? I built a little sump for my son's 20g and was thinking of building an overflow box. Or should I just use a u tube straight to the sump?

Well what type of overflow box? External or drilled?

I'm assuming your referring to an external for that small of a tank. Found a good post here (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1856126&highlight=diy+overflow) where someone addresses Overflows. He has good links for a DIY external both box and pipe style, and an example of one you can buy.

Personally I got on ebay and found a decent external for $45 from a guy in Texas who is an expert at acrylics. Was totally worth the money. If you have the time / know how a DIY would be just as good, I just don't have either... :P
