right now I have a standard 55 gallon tank (pic attached)

Im looking to purchase lights, and im planning on keep mostly Soft Corals and a few salt water fish in this reef tank.

Would this be close to what I am looking for? Can I go with a lesser setup? Does anyone know a good place to get good pricing?

Thanks for your help!

IMO I would stick with the 4 bulb setup, you can put corals anwhere in the tank and even add some LPS down the road if you want to.

isn't that going to cause issues with the bar that runs through the middle of my tank?

How big is the bar? You should be okay with softies. The bar really shouldn't be that big of a deal, especially with 4 bulbs.

take a look at the nova extreme pro 4 light, should be perfect and a good bang for your buck. make sure and get the pro version.

That is the same light I'm running on my 55 and I love it. 3-330 is general retail unless you find it used. Well with the money, only one power cord and seperate timers for 700+, actinic, and leds. Ill post some pics of mine when I get home if you want to see it.

Check out Wave Point also. I got mine about a month ago and really like it for the $300 price range

i take that back. they don't make a 4 bulb pro model.
here is the 4 bulb non pro model (lacks individual reflectors)

and here is the pro model 6 light. you could keep just about anything in a 55 with this light...

That's the one I have over my 120.
i paid 425.00 and that was shipped to Alaska, you could get into it for 380.00 or so in the lower 48

I was talking about the aquaticlife 4 bulb system. Here are pics in all three modes, but the camera doesn't do the blue leds justice

All on, then actinics only, then led only.
