Graph Color Question

I notice when I mouse along the graph of temp or pH, the line will periodically change from red to blue. This occurs in what appears to be a random fashion. I'm wondering if it's operating as designed, and if so what it denotes--or if it's just an anomoly of my OS.

It is intended to indicate that the mouse is touching the graph line.
