New Mantis

I have decided to get a mantis shrimp. I have a ten gallon ready. So lots of info needed. Will a ten gallon be okay? Substrate? Rock? Filter? What type of mantis? Thanks for the help.

Peacock mantis would be nice decide filter yourself my friend caught one in his aquarium and keep it in a small 2 gallon aquarium without any filter and rock a month later he gave it someone.

A 10gal doesn't have a big enough footprint for an O.Scyllarus. Please do not put a Peacock in a 10gal. Check out Roy's list in the "sticky" section of this forum, and do a little research before you make a purchase.
