mod for sapphire skimmer

I've got a sapphire skimmer (pic below), and i'm wondering if there's any mods i can do to improve this thing? Like an upgraded pump or something?

eeek. those style skimmers are really a one trick pony, you can do an impeller upgrade but it's a waste to buy it. Build yourself a threadwheel or something, other then that I'd get a higher end skimmer.
