View Full Version : Can turbos kill zoos?

i have a new coral frag with two torch orange zoos and i saw my only turbo snail literally ON TOP OF the new frag. the one polyp is fine but ever since then the other has not opened. since then i have removed all turbos from this tank. any ideas?

I doubt it's the turbo snails. Try checking the zoanthid forum for some of the more common pests people encounter. Sundial snails, nudibranchs, pox, etc.

Very unlikely the turbo would eat healthy zoos. Good timing on this question though, because just last night I saw a turbo going across the top of a rock of zoos I have. The rock has 200+ zoos on it, and the turbo went right across the middle of the rock. The zoos closed up as the turbo approached them, but when I checked this morning, they were all still there, healthy, and opened back up. If you're missing any zoos, there's likely another issue going on.
