They mentioned major brand ballasts but does anyone know the exact name and model?

Are they using the same for the Tek fixtures?

Thanks !!!

Fullham Workhorse ballasts in both elite and standard tek fixtures

+1 to the above post. They need to use spec T5 ballasts to get full performance from their fixtures.

Thank you for the replies. Do they make it so that you can replace the ballasts with something else or there will not be enough space for other kinds of ballasts. I am thinking of the triad ballasts from reefgreek but they are a bit long.

I am about to get a 6x39w 36" fixture but the Workhorse are not good.

Thanks,
KR

What size tank is this for?

For the price on a Tek Elite, I would spend the extra and get a Sunpower instead.

+1... I spent months waiting for the Tek Elite and I'm glad I decided to get the 6x39w ATI instead!

It's for a half circle 150g tank with 30" deep but only has enough room for 36" fixture.

You are right, the ATI power module is better and does comes with 8-bulb configuration which is also much better, well except for the price... $500 vs $1000. My hope is to find a used one from a fellow members but I can't access trade threads for another 2 months:(

Check out other reefing sites and also watch Craigslist.

If you go to the sponsor forums and find Reefgeek, they have factory 2nd's that they sell for a good price. Check that out!

Look at the Sunpower, not the Powermodule.

Sadly there is not an 8 bulb Sunpower.

Yeah, it would b great if they did, but the op was looking for a 6x39 they should for sure look into the sunpower.
