I guess it all depends on what type of clown and what type of anemone you already have. Tank info? (parameters, temperature, size, etc)

Just curious why do his parameters have anything to do with the question?

Most hosting anemones are going to get 12 inches across --- if not bigger, so I think trying a different anemone won't work all that great.

When do anemones CLONE/Split?

There is no set timeframe and/or size that they will split. I had one that was 15+ inches across and would split once in a while. Whereas I had another one (( in the same tank )) that never got bigger then 8 inches and would split more frequently.

If its a bubble tip I would feed it quite a bit and hope that it splits soon then you can get rid of half.

Its not though it was the first thing i bought for my tank and i didnt know the potential size that this thing would reach. Im just getting worried because its about an inch from my hammer and moon brain
