View Full Version : Solona XL 60 or RSM 250 - Better and/or quiet?

RC members,

I'm having a heck of a time trying to choose between these two systems. I was thinking ELOS, but too small for my tastes.

Anyhow, I need some opinions from people who have these two tanks. Please submit you complaints or praises. I'll need to purchase soon since I'm moving, making this the most opportune time to upgrade.

The biggest concern is how quiet when running. The wife's demands...:hmm5:

If your wife is sensitive to sound stay away from the RSM.

I take it that it's the skimmer that's the problem? I was thinking about if I went to the RSM 250, I could at least reduce the fan noise by using a chiller? Just a thought from what I've read.
