What to do before putting Cheato in my Refugium?

So, I just picked up some Chaeto, and want to be sure I don't put anything into my tank after being so careful to eliminate any Ich from my system!

I was thinking of doing a freshwater bath for several hours to kill anything that could be on it. Good idea? Any better ideas?

Does your QT have strong enough lighting to support it?

rinse well with RO water and throw it in the fuge.

it will knock off the pods and bristles but also any flatworms and such
