Some angelfish can reach 16+ inches in size. My tank is 70" in length and 18" width would that be too small?

I'm far from an expert on this but I'd guess a fish that get's that big you would need at least 280-300 gallon tank.

You would need to place rock in the middle or have none at all in the display, limit your stock. I have a 8-9 inch emperor in a 300, 96x30x24 with little rock and still feel i could give it more room. They don't grow very fast, you could get a baby and it would be a few years before upgrade.

If the holding tank was smaller, then yes. It's a step up.
