Many people asked for information on a Pinpoint Group order, well ask and you shall receive:D
Here is the deal pm or email me for the prices, I learned from my mistake with the magnets, the manufacturers gets to much flack when prices are posted, but I assure you that they are pretty good. I need 20 ordered to get it going so if you are interested get in touch.
Yes no more magnets, my back actually has been feeling pretty good lately having these magnets around:D

On the meter, you only get the read out. On the controller, you can use it in conjunction w/ the Solenoid on the Calcium Reactor.

05/19/2003, 10:20 AM
In regards to the price of the meter, I actually thought that it was pretty good, premium aquatics must buy a ton of them and get better prices.
the ph meter is $19 cheaper than 1 online vender, $14 cheaper than another and $10 cheaper than the lowest reseller. Remember that even with the group buys, the online companies still buy many more units than us, and they continually buy.
Ex cept for the magnet which according to the manufacturer was a record:D .
and remember that we are talking about a $10-20 savings on a $70 item, which % wise is not bad. Look at the probes PA is the cheapest at $39.95 and these are $30 thats a 25% savings off the lowest online seller.
But I do agree with a few of you on this one, if I was interested in buying a pinpoint and going to anyway then I would get in on this order, but it is not enough of a saving to convince me to buy one out of the blue.
This is the same problem I am having with the Seaswirls, the 1" unit after shipping etc only save you $20 or so, but for me $20 is $20.
One last thing, it is great knowing that PA does have good prices and is not trying to rip us off, I think that their prices are very much in line JMO

Does the salinity meter come with the probe and calibration fluid?

mracroman
05/28/2003, 04:03 PM
OOPS I DID IT AGAIN!!!:D

no need to worry, I ordered 30 PH meters, 12 salinity(just now)
48 ph probes lots of fluid and 24 ac adapters

Simon- you innitially calibrate the unit so that you know the high and low are correct, then on a monthly basis you recalibrate it just to insure that your readings are accurate. you should replace the probe every 12-18 months, but since they are fairly expensive most don't.

Many of these units are sold, so if you are interested pm or email me

mracroman
05/28/2003, 04:05 PM
salinity meters do include the probe but the fluids are extra.

Also these units DO NOT come with the AC adapter, the online stores do not include them either, they do work with a 9 volt battery but the ac adapters are like $6
