I also got a call from my lfs that my tank came in today. I will be hitting the depot tomorrow for lumber to build my stand and I put my 40breeder up for sale on craigslist! The rest of my dry goods should be arriving over the next few days so updates to come : )

Are those all Koralia 1's? Might need more flow than that. But other than that, it all looks good. Thats the same skimmer im looking at getting for my upgrade on my 46 bowfront.

yeah thought because its a 36" tank anything bigger would be too much. Should I go bigger? Are you a rx7 guy? I had 1994 FD that my little brother drove under the rear end of a dump truck. I drive a mazdaspeed6 now but miss my rotary!!

i have the same exact tank.. really like it.. the only complaint i have is the placing of the over flow. i wish it was in a corner, for me it seems to take up a lot of space. let me know what you think

Soggytoes,
I have the exact same skimmer and LOVE it. What about the sump?
You have to watch out for those hitch hikers......
Looks like a good start.

Soggytoes,
What about the sump?

The sump will be built soon once I decide on how big I am going to build my stand. If I go with a stand that has the same footprint of the tank then it will be a 29 gallon. If I decide to go with a table top type design with the stand being wider and longer than the tank I will turn my 40 breeder into a sump.
