I picked up a used t5 fixture that needs a little sprucing up. There is some salt here and there on the reflectors and other parts. What has worked best for you? Anything to avoid for sure to avoid damaging the reflectors?

If the reflector has oxidised from the salt and pitted you would need to use a metal polish to renew. If the reflector is very thin using a metal polish on it could be tricky.

Thanks, manix man. The reflector looks thick enough to withstand some rubbing. Any recommendations for a polish compound?

Rolite, it's what is used to polish aluminum on RV's and airplanes. It's a bit pricey though.

Even with good polish it takes some elbow grease :D
