I came home to see my return pump BARELY pumping any water back up to my tank. I unplug the pump and take it over to my sink to give it a good cleaning only to find the half shredded body of my true perc juvi :sad2:
Just some background: I had a mature female and two juveniles housed together. Two paired off and immediately exiled the unwanted third. I temporarily housed the true perc in my refugium. Somehow the true perc found its way into the return pump section of my sump and made it's way into my return pump intake.
Very very sad day. He was 3 hours from being adopted into a new aquarium.
