Found it in my filter sox today, what is it?

it has half a shell and moves around like a snail, i tried to pick it off a rock last time and it broke in half but kept moving

Maybe a Chilton of sorts ...?

No I was wring if this is less than 3/4" it is a type of snail and an ok thing in a Reef Establishment.
That is actually a good sign of a maturing tank.

Most lilely a Stomatella varia or a limpet!

pheww, thanks guys. i was about to go on a rampage to kill them all. Usually see them after lights out moving around on the rocks
