CandyCane turn dark during split? (pics)

I noticed lately that my Candycane has turned dark and it started when i noticed it starting to split on two of the heads. any ideas? all the water param check out so i have no idea why its doing this.

what exactly are your parameters the candy cane does not look healthy. What kind of flow and lighting is it under?
