Vodka dosing quick question?

Just a quick question about vodka dosing. I am about to start a dosing schedule, and I was wondering if it smart to continue running GFO and Carbon, or should I shut those reactors down for now? Thanks

I run Carbon, but not GFO.

I quit running both when I started dosing. I'm not saying that is what should be done. I only started dosing three days ago. I read it was better to stop them both, but I cant see how carbon would hurt.
I can tell you this, your skimmer will start going crazy!

I've been running both while dosing vinegar for a few months...along with purigen. I can't see why not to run them all, they all ultimately do the same thing i think - remove nutrients, and i don't think any one makes the others redundant. I do dose an AA and vit supplement, because i worry slightly my waters being overly stripped, but i dose like 12% bottle recommended, so like half a capful every 2 weeks...makes me feel good. Makes the skimmer feel good too.

I reckon the combo would be better than one or the other...
