The title pretty much says it all. I'm considering using Caribsea Arag-Alive Hawaiian Black Sand. I'd like to see some pictures of reef tanks using black sand. TIA!

Me too, because I'm just waiting on my lighting and I'm setting up a 125 reef with carib-sea black Tahitian moon sand.

This isn't a salt water tank but its reef rock with black sand. Its what my 90 gal cichlid tank looked like when i had it

I spent the better part of my Saturday removing some black sand from my 36 corner reef. I was sad to see the massive amounts of detritus and the lack of bristleworms, pods, or any CUC. Not saying it was the sands fault but it didn't look near as good as I had imagined. Just my .02

Nothing like those on google, but here is mine that i am in the process of maturing. That's the Aragonite Hawaiian black, BTW. 160 lbs of it.
