Hey everyone I am new to the site looks like it is going to be a great stay with you guys. I am thinking about starting up a new tank after a few years of being out of the loop. I had a 55 gallon fish and soft coral tank but I am wanting to get a nano cube now and dont know everything about them. Here is what I am wanting in the tank I want some live rock and soft corals and maybe a clam if I have enough lite and room. The main thing that I want in my tank is a Maroon Yellow Stripe Clownfish, so my big question is what size Nano should I get? I am wanting a 12 gallon tank can it work?

How many watts per gallon should I shoot for?
How many pounds of rock per gallon?

I would go with a 28 gallon. The LED or halide version would be best. The maroon clown can get pretty large. You would not need LED or halide for soft corals, but the clam would require a lot of light.
