I have green algea all over my sand bed in my 29G Oceanic biocube HQI system. I do a 3 gallon water change once a week. Also Its only on the sand. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it

I would siphon it out. Algae = nutrient issue. Make sure you're not overfeeding and check your water source for phosphates. Also be sure to clean filters. May be only on the sand due to low flow at that depth in your tank.

Nassarius snails will help keep the sand bed turned and mixed well. I'd get 7-8 for your tank :)

How long are you leaving your lights on a day? Either too long of photoperiod, old bulbs or excess nutrients.

How long has your set up been running for?

I have siphon the algea out the last water change. It keeps coming back. Where should I put my powerhead placement to get less algea
