Recently ordered 3 Percs from Marine Depot Live (hereafter "MDL"). The fish SEEMED ok, but later that day I noticed white spots on them, (Ich perhaps). Within 24 hrs, two of them were dead. The third is still alive, and I am vigorously treating it with Garlic and Vita-Chem soaked Brine Shrimp food. It seems to be getting better. Nevertheless, I will never buy from MDL again.

At least I am not the only one...I bought 2 maroon clowns and both were on there death bed when they arrived. I treated as I normally would and only one survived. Now I called and spoke to them and the one guy said " let it go a day and see if the fish lives, if it does not then freeze the fish and we will get you another one". Well it has been 4 phone calls and plenty of emails later and still nothing. I have the fish in my freezer ready to go back to them but if they would ever contact me we could get the ball rolling. Also in this order I had a LTA that was ordered and it showed on the packing list but it was not there!!! They returned the price to my card but I really want my clown fish...no store credit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad2:

I'm a bit surprised. I posted my complaint in another forum, and the livestock manager from Marine Depot Live responded professionally.

Here is a link to that thread:

I realize that this link is for Marine Depot and not Marine Depot Live but I just spoke to Jim @ MDL and we straightened everything out. Sending me replacement fish as we speak. Thanks for the help guys and hopfully will do business in the future, Josh:p

I had a similar experience once the problem was brought to MDL's attention. They sent me a replacement fish. Pretty decent service once you get on their radar screen.
