R.I.P. Kermit

A couple of weeks ago I realized that I couldn't find my mantis. I figured it was just a long molt, but it's been proven, Kermit is dead :(

I got him from Richard at TBS about 4 1/2 years ago, and he had been my little buddy ever since.. I have no idea what caused his death (age hopefully) but i hope it wasn't anything that I caused.

my condolensces. you must have been a good and conscientious aquarist to have kept him healthy for so long.

Assuming that he was a couple of inches long when you got him, he lived out his full life expectancy of 6-7 years.

its what irks me and the main reason i like L maculata's-things that are heavily interactive with a ton of interesting behaviors die so young, like the cephs.


my l mac is only 4" so i hope to have him for 20+ years
