Protein Skimmer size for a 375g Reef System:

I'm in the process of building a 375g Reef system, DT will be 275 gallons and Sump/Fuge another 100g, so here goes the Noob question :hmm3:,

When calculating the protein skimmer size requirement, do I have to sum the whole system gallons or just the DT gallons?

BTW, It will be a reef system with heavy bio load for the future.

The whole volume, as the stuff you are skimming is in the water and the display and sump share that same water.

Yup, the whole volume is what you need to chose your Skimmer.

There may be issues specific to large tanks. And this is one large tank. You may want to post questions down in the large tank forum as well.
