Hi,
My RO water coming out of my unit is always 0 on my TDS and after sitting in my reservoir for a few days it goes up to 10+. Can anyone give my suggestions or comments on how to deal with this? Thanks
Dean

I clean my reservoir ( 5 gallon rectangular mop bucket ) out when the TDS starts creeping up. IMHO i think it's dust collecting in the open bucket because of my sump fan pulling air from the room, IDK. Anyway, TDS of 10 is still pretty low.

I keep a Maxi-Jet 404 running in my reservoir 24/7 and I place a cover over the reservoir to keep out dust, dirt, salt creep etc.

Had the same problem using a cheap plastic Sterilite reservoir. Switched to the 20 gallon Brute trash can & the problem was solved. The Brute cans are food rated. Different plastic , I guess.

I second the Rubbermaid commercial stuff here.

I bought a basket at a home decorating store. Then I put a storage container inside of it that has a lockable lid. It holds about 10 gallons of water. The lid keeps out dust and junk, and being in the basket keeps it dark so it has no algae growth of anything like that. Used this for a couple of years now and works great. Top-off water always stays clean.

Very good idea! I have been looking for a way to hide my ugly bucket sitting beside my tank in my living room. For some reason a basket never crossed my mind!

That's a clever idea with the basket! I won't have my girlfriend bugging me that there's a lot of fish stuff lying around this way...
