I picked up a used 24g Nano Cube last night. Everything was working when we took the tank down. I cleaned the tank and canopy well, then plugged in the ballast. I got a flicker of light and the fans turned on. A second later the fuse blew and everything went out. I replaced the fuse and turned it back on, this time without any ordeal. The display lights work, the moonlights work, but the fans do not.

I took the canopy off, removed the splash shield and checked for DC voltage on two of the pins that drive the fans. I get nothing. As the moonlights are also driven off this board, I'd like to think that it's still fine. However, everything points towards the board being toast. I'd rather not start ordering parts and soldering new fans on if I don't have to, especially if they're still good. Any chance I'm overlooking something?

No takers on this one? Most of the threads I've read on fans say that the fans themselves fail, or the ballast did. Anyone more familiar with the wiring on these?
