dc8 help

has anyone try fixing a dc8 i had my chiller 1/3 running in the number 3 port for 1 month then one night i came home n the water was 75f with the chiller on it wouldnt turn off the number 3 port is on all the time

Sounds like the triac needs replaced. I've heard of persons replacing the triacs (even with ones that can handle more amperage) but the part is not really user-replacable and if attempted should be done by someone aware of electrical components and how to correctly handle them. Obviously warranty would be voided and if you damage the circuit board Neptune Systems not accept the unit for repair after the modification (aka; you could end up having to purchase a new one).
