Found this little guy in a friends tank, apparently it is there 5 years. I had no idea what it was but is seems it is a dwarf mantis.

On the basis that it is so small I am assuming it will be no harm in a nano reef?

I had one of those when i started out! it was prolly an adult, it was about 1 inch big. I killed it. :(

It is definitely a protosquilloid and probably Chorisquilla, but definitely not C. tweediei.

If not a Chorisquilla, it could be a Protosquilla.

Thanks for the information, I will try and get a better photo of him.
I don't believe he has been out at all, the owner that has known about him 5 years had never seen him out as far as he was on the video.

nice reflexes on that little guy! At the end of the vid that little pod was buzzing by at a good speed but the mantis snagged it no problem! I wish I had a few of these in a big reef tank!
