I'm sure I know the answer to this but.....do skimmers oxygenate the water?

Its not their intended purpose but they certainly do, and do it quite well.

They do it so well that they're considered required equipment for cephalopod tanks and for tanks with big tangs that are used to the well-oxygenated water in reef crests and fore reefs.
