What about this one guys? Thats egg crate on top of the baffle at the fuge section! The tank is drilled!

I think you will find the flow rate through the fuge will be high. I would flip flop the return/water change area with the fuge area.

I wanted to leave the water change section on the end as thats where the pump will be and might add a extra tee to take water from that section. Would reversing the skimmer section with the fuge section help at all?

Switch the skimmer section with the fuge and run a t with a ball valve from your return line over to your fuge. Does this make sense? im typing kinda fast.

So the over flow box has 2 drain lines, your saying have 1 drain line dedicated to the skimmer section and the other dedicated to skimmer as well with a run off to the fuge through a "T" is this correct? And move the Fuge section to the right and skimmer to the middle?

No the overflow box wouldnt feed the fuge the return pump would. Let me draw a crappy picture then get it up here in a few min. I know it sounds retarted but I have seen it be succesful.

switch the skimmer section with the fuge.

With the two drains from the overflow, you probably will not have to tee. You will be able to control flow to the fuge with the valve.

I was trying to decide the way to have my sump as well. I'll post my pic for ideas for you. I don't think the last baffle on the far side of the skimmer is needed. You only need 3 baffles for a bubble trap not 4. Here's what I'm going to do...

On mine I have the skimmer on an end and the refugium on an end with the pump in the middle. I made a T off from one of my drain pipes as someone said this way it won't interfere with my gph pumping back to the tank. I will also be using flex pvc for the return to the tank and regular pvc for the rest. I figure this layout works because both sides will run into the middle to be pumped back to the tank. I will also saw some teeth into the baffle with the refugium, but eggcrate works well too. hope this helps you out some! Took me 2 weeks to come up with my plan :spin2:

Alright I understand now. So would this be the best layout? Will I still have alot of flow with the return t'd off to the fuge? Its a mag 24

Lmao its all good 2addicted. So should I just have a T off of my overflow box like lynn does in his picture. I like that idea!

BTW lynn did you do that mock up picture on the basic paint program that comes on all computers?

I just now saw this... I think that would work fine for you if you want to keep the pump on the side

Yeah I would rather use the bulkhead to my advantage of not having the mag drive putting heat in the tank!

It looks really good and proportionate to be on the simple paint program! Thumbs up! Thanks for the help everyone. I think this is the plan I will be going with!

I used the straight line took and the curvy line tool to make it easy. Take a look at my pic again because I put the wrong one up first time around just to be sure your looking at the correct one the T off to the fuge is from the overflow box. (i had made a couple mocks on paint and uploaded them, put wrong link first heh)
