hello i called about 30 fish stores in sothern ca and only 2 store had them !! all the other store had no clue what they are? are they the best power head i could buy? are they the top of the line? how do i know if they are the new ES MODEL?

Hi,
first of all, thank all of you for the great responce and recommendations. I did clean out the canister filter today. There was alot of tan goop around the balls. Washed it all off, and started fresh. I do not have a sump on my tank, like i said, it was a swim tank for along time. What i would like to make out of it is a general s/w tank with some inverts, and small fish. As for the dose, the system i am following said to start at .4ml for 100 gals, after 4 days, double, .8ml after 3 days increase by .5 for 13 ml. Do this for a week and increase .5 again weekly until the nitrates drop.

Now for the dumb question...how much is going to be too much if the nitrates do not go down in a month or so, and does the alcohol effect the fish? (don't want them sitting around the coral smoking cigars, if you know what i mean)..
