Is it okay to add calcium and buffer to dry salt mix or is it better to mix salt and water followed by supplementing? I already know how much to add. My salt water is mixing at 31ppt with Ca @370 and kH=6.1

Most people on reef central, mix there water to 35ppt. This is equal to natural ocean water salinity. This will give you higher levels of calcium ,mag and alk. What salt mix do you use? I would supplement after the water is mixed. You can use the reef chemistry calculator to adjust levels to what you want.http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chem_calc3.html
