GE 1 is aquarium safe but only use it for sump baffles, do not use it to make a tank and is it will break!

What are you trying to accomplish? are you repairing the seals and seams of a tank or just putting in some baffles?

baffles in a sump

placing a sheet of glass over a cracked glass in a retile cage... and replace a window pane in the bedroom

prefer to do it all at once for my convienence

nothing that the silicone is gonna need to support so to speak

DAP Household/Aquarium Sealant

It can be found in the silicone department of any Lowes/HD. I've had no problems with this. Only downside is the bottle is small as opposed to it's neighboring products.

The general rule i have read, was that you need to get 100% sillicone, and make sure it does not have mildew removers and such. ge,Dap, and a few others carry this. also make sure it's clear.

100% Silicone is 100% Silicone. Any Silicone that says 100% is aquarium safe.

Home Depot's GE 1 100% silicone also has FDA/NSF approval to provide a little more comfort.

I bought the GE II that is for window/door and has no fungicide in it. It's 100% silicone as well.

Anyone reading this thread DO NOT I repeat DO NOT one more time DO NOT listen to the above post, no offense to the poster :)

There are several 100% silicone products that contain a mildew blocker that are not reef safe.

Just look at the tube carefully to make sure it contains no mildew blockers like bioseal or whatever it's called. I think that one type of GE silicone I and II for bathroom use contains mildew inhibitors.
