Does anybody have any pictures of a 24" light over a 20" tank, preferable a rimless (solana?) I'm looking to buy a pendant w/both t5s and MH to replace my current unit which only has a 150w halide and a few moon light leds.

no pics, but I've seen it done. it's a little long, but doesnt look bad if it's a good looking light.

I just put a 24 inch light on my 10 gallon 20 inch tank and it looks ok.

I HATED it. Looks like a mushroom. Get a 20" Nova Extreme Pro with upgraded UVL bulbs. Good color and growth.

Ended up picking up a used 24" setup from the equipment forum here. I didn't want to go all t5, I wanted to find a t5 / halide combo that will tide me over until the LED world gets a little more standardized. I also couldn't really find to much info on the UVL setup. Going with 24" allows me to get ATI/KZ bulbs which I know I like from past experience.

I guess I'll live with the mushroom top for now, and hope that the inhabits in the tank keep me from regretting how things look around the tank.

I have a tek fixture over my 10 gallon and it looks fine. It's flat and low enough where it looks more like a cover than a mushroom.

I have a 24" Tek on my 20L (30") and it gives great light to all areas.
