I know this APP is not officially released by Neptune, but I figured most you guys/gals use it if you have an Android Phone.

My question..... is a simple one to say the least.

When I set my information up in the ApexPreferences Menu I am having trouble with the URL portion..

I type the exact url of my controller and it doesn't seem to want to connect.

I notice in the menu it says "URL for your Apex (including the port# override"

I think that's the part I'm missing...... how do I key that in conjunction with the URL for my controller?

Basically add ":portnumber" at the end of your web server address.

OK colon must be a special charater on this site so I will spell it out:

add colonportnumber at the end of your web server address

Can you connect to your Apex over the internet with a regular computer?

Oh yeah it connects to the internet fine.

Let me try the suggestion above and see how that work.

Still having trouble.... let's see if this helps clarify:

In case you can't read the Image:

DHCP - Disabled
Hostname - apex
Aquacontroller IP Address -
Netmask -
Gateway -
Prinary DNS Server -
Secondary DNS =
HTTp port (default 80) - 80

The address I use to access my controller (outside of my own network) is

I tried and also neither is working -_-

Edit:.... yeah that screen shot is worthless.... I copied the values over exactly as they appear on the network status screen.... so just go by those I guess.

Oh yeah it connects to the internet fine. Can you connect TO the Apex via the Internet from somewhere other than your home network? Have you configured port forwarding in your router?

I can connect fine out of my network as well.

The format of the URL entered should be:

... with http://up front and with the trailing slash.

if you are using a IP address instead of a DDNS name,

Sorry for the delay, I am out of the country on business travel.

Amoor311, can you PM the exact URL that is showing at the top of your browser when you are accessing your Apex from the internet?

It is the front portion of the URL (not including the "status.sht") that you need to enter into the preferences screen.

Wow I can't believe I overlooked that hahahaha.

I was missing the "http://"

Thanks everyone.

You know, I should probably error check that.

I currently error check that the trailing "/" is added. It would be very easy to check if the URL is preceded by "http://"

If two people make the same mistake, it is a design error :)

More than two have already made the mistake...

Don't sweat it man.

It's a great tool that you have put together for the reefing community. I bought the full version so I was sure to support it's development.
