Well, a few things could happen,
1. No ventilation could cause an increase in the tank temp due to lack of evaporation.
2. CO2 build up could happen because of no fresh air to help oxygenate the tank.
Everything in the the tank uses O2 to some extent and gives off CO2. With excessive
CO2, your ph could start to lower and that would cause problems for your live stock

Open a window for a few hours a day (or maybe at night when it is cooler).

what size is the tank vs the size of the room ?you can ventilate the room with a fan but its inefficent for heating and cooling .

Just to echo what's been said above, a lot of people with seemingly inexplicable and intractable pH problems end up finding out that it was due to inadequate ventilation, causing CO2 buildup. You'd need some way of getting fresh air into the room where you have your tank.
